More locations from Deadmans shoes i have taken influence from.

All these areas are very rural and are outside away from suburban areas, i have tried to shoot in a similar place which gives the connatation of Lonliness and isolation.

Loactions and mise en scene.

I have shot most of my short film around my friends house and the local park. It was important that the location represents the character in my short film, for example I have tried to emphazise the lonliness of the character so have chosen to shoot in a park which has vast areas and large fields. I have taken alot of inspiration from Dead man Shoes and have looked at the setting in that film, and in parts tried to find similar locations.

Shane Meadows Deadmans Shoes 2004 is a Brithish Crime drama, i hope to create a short film that is going to be based on some similar Conventions. Dead Man shoes is driven by Revenge throughout the film, Richard the main character is out to avenege his brothers death after his return from service in the army. The narrative of my short film is going to be driven  byrevenge also. It is important that i make it clear in my short film that the narrative drive is revenge. Alot like Deadmans Shoes the film is only going to mainly focus on one character, I want the target audience to be able to relate to him and want him to suceed in his revenge. 

I want to give the audience a large insight into the characters life, this is similar to Richard in Deadmans Shoes as we see where he is living. We learn he was in the army and get a good insight into his personality. I think by doing this the audience understand the main character more and want them to suceed in their quest for revenge. In order for my short film to be succesful i need to give the audience a main character who they can relate, my character has lost loved ones and this is something which mostly any audience can relate to and understand, also the feeling of lonleyness and regret is important as that helps to drive the narrative forward in my film.

Changes to my Coursework.

After finishing my finishing my first draft  of  coursework, i am working at a low C level. After talking to Kaye i have deicded to change my moving image project to a short film, to do this i am going to look at other Brithish crime dramas like Shaun Meadows Dead Mans Shoes. The narrative drive behind the film is revenge and i agreed with Kaye that i needed to bring more action and narrative drive into my project. To make my short film successful i am going to continue to use alot of good steady shots which i have already got, also use alot of cross cutting so my narrative has structure and makes the short film more interesting to watch.

Total film uses a medium shot of a main character from a film, in this case Robert Dowey Jnr from Sherlock Holmes. I hope to create a similar shot of my main character on the front cover of my magazine.

There are alot of sub titles scatterd across the magazine front cover, these are all eye ctatching and use the same font colour and font style, i am going to use sub titles like this on my magazine, keeping the font and colour the same, to add a proffesional look to the front page.

Personally i really like the background clolour of the magazine, i think the light and dark blue look refershing, if i can i hope to add a similar colour to my magazine.

For my film trailer i am going to be taking alot of influence from both the movie "American Psycho" and the TV series the Sopranos more notable the main characters Patrick Bateman and Tony Soprano. The two main  influences i am using suggests that the trailer is going to attract certain audience, mainly a male audience. I want my trailer to be alot like an introduction to my main character, where the audience get a brief insight into his daily life, mainly his morning routine. At first he comes across as an everyday businessman, who takes care of himself and goes to work for a living, this open up the options for my target audience, as allot of people can relate to the lifestyle he has.
